However when a Falklands veteran turns up with a slice of Buckingham Palace, we didn’t think we should be taking him literally. Over 30 years, he’s managed to resist the temptation of guzzling a piece of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding cake. Now that’s self-restraint. How much is a literal slice of history worth?
