“Another wedding gift to Princess Diana, these pearl earrings were given to her a month before her wedding day by Collingwood Jewellers, the family jewellers of the Spencer Family, and worn as part of her sending-off outfit.”
Princess Diana accessorised with the pearl earrings a number of times over the years, both dressing them up and down.
“She wore them over a dozen times either dressed up or down, and they have been worn as many times by Kate to official functions,” Alexandra comments.
“A double diamond drop precedes the open-worked diamond setting from which large pear-shaped pearls are suspended.”
While the timeless jewels have remained in the hands of the royals, the expert suggested they could sell for a huge amount of money.
